TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE

The TBL is an accounting framework that incorporates three dimensions of performance: social, environmental and financial. This differs from traditional reporting frameworks as it includes ecological (or environmental) and social measures that can be difficult to assign appropriate means of measurement. The TBL dimensions are also commonly called the three Ps: people, planet and profits.

• Down syndrome is a condition in which a baby is born with an extra chromosome, that can cause other medical problems.
• People with Down syndrome have a slower mental and physical development that those who do not.
• Physical characteristics of Down syndrome include:

- Small hands and feet
- Round eyes
- Flat face
- Short neck

• Parents are never prepared to have a child with Down syndrome, but are often surprised by the blessing of having one.

My Capstone Poster

My capstone project summary

Capstone is a project required for all RCHS students. My project is to create a house where Down Syndrome children and their families can reside for some time. The house will help the parents cope with the idea of their child suffering from Down Syndrome, and they will be able to vent and share with other parents going through the same circumstances. This house will also have professionals that will help the child cope with their disorder in different way. Some include-- rehabilitation, venting sessions, and simply playing with other children. I am interested in achieving this, because I have always had a place in my heart for children and I believe that everyone deserves the same opportunities in life, regardless of the problems one may endure.
